Bill Steinke (Email)
As President of Design Home Center, I invite you to stop in or call any of our sales associates for help with your project. I’m very proud of our staff and am confident that you will always receive friendly, professional service at Design Home Center. I have personally been in the home improvement business for over 30 years and have been an owner of Manderfeld Lumber and Design Home Center since 1985. I am a Blandin Leadership and Network New Ulm graduate and an active member of Rotary in New Ulm.

Brian Fischer (Email)
Brian is our major project designer and coordinator and is also a part owner in the business. He has been with Design Home Center since 1988, and has a background in construction and architectural drafting. Brian’s eye for detail has earned him a great reputation for his design work both in new homes and major remodeling. Brian enjoys trapping, and is active in his church and Farm City Hub Club . He is a New Ulm area native and a Network New Ulm graduate.

Larkin DeWayne VanDeest (Email)
DeWayne has been at Design Home Center since 1993 and has been in the lumber business since 1978. DeWayne’s specialty is Ag buildings, but he is also very knowledgeable about window and siding replacement. In fact, with his 30 years of experience, he can help customers with almost anything. When Lark isn’t working on estimates, you’ll usually find him bowling, fishing or playing softball.

Jeff Lilleodden (Email)
Jeff came to Design Home Center in 1995 with 12 years of previous experience in the lumber and construction business. Jeff has a natural friendliness that makes customer service almost second nature for him. He handles a variety of projects from new construction to additions and kitchen remodeling. He is also our in house expert on the Heat-n-Glo fireplace line. Jeff is an avid hunter and fisherman.

Scott Juni (Email)
Scott started working for Design Home Center in 1991. He handles contractor sales, remodeling, additions, garages, decks, window & siding replacements and just about anything else we throw at him! Scott loves to hunt and fish.

Deb Zahn (Email)
Deb has headed up our interior decorating department since 1994. She is very talented in color coordination and design detail and can help you plan any interior decorating project. Deb is very active in community affairs – serving on the New Ulm Retail Association, the New Ulm Historic Preservation Committee and is a past director of the New Ulm Area Chamber of Commerce. She is also a graduate of Network New Ulm.

Cyndi Hillesheim (Email)
Cyndi is a decorating consultant and project coordinator and has been working in Design Home Center’s Interior Decorating department since 1994. Her natural gift for design and organizational skills, and her years of experience make Cyndi a good choice to plan and coordinate your next interior project – whether it’s a total makeover, a kitchen remodel or just a color change in the master bedroom. Cyndi is a Network New Ulm graduate, is active in her church and community and helps husband Mick on their dairy farm near New Ulm.

Tom Dittrich Tom “Smokey” Dittrich - Smokey started working for “Manderfeld Lumber” in 1967 and has been here ever since! Smokey is our Yard Foreman and a part owner in the business. There is nobody better in the business at getting orders delivered accurately and on time! He is also the guy to talk to if you need a shingling estimate. Smokey enjoys deer hunting, four wheeling and cutting firewood.

Gayle Schaefer (Email)
Gayle has been in charge of the book keeping at Design Home Center since 1986. She has survived several computer changes and can handle almost any question about your account. Gayle is also a Network New Ulm graduate and has run our United Way campaign every fall.
